International travel increased most in 2016
Compared with 2015, flights to and from any of the airports has increased by five percent. International travel increased most, which rose by six percent. The increased range of airlines and low prices are seen as explanations for travel increasing, SVT reports (in Swedish).
"In Sweden we have an international behaviour, most see it as a matter of course to travel in Europe and the over world," says Lena Rökaas, Acting Airport Director at Stockholm-Arlanda, to TT.
The assumption is that air travel will continue to increase.
