Lufthansa pilots to the negotiating table


The conflict between the German pilot labour union, Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), and the employer Lufthansa continues. But now they are closer to a solution.

The conflict between the German pilot labour union, Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), and their employer Lufthansa having been going on for a long time – but the two sides are finally heading towards a solution. This after 12 periods of strike during the past 15 months. 

Package worth 400 million euro

The pilots labour union has given Lufthansa a proposal for a package with a value of 400 million euro, according to the unions website.

– The pilots labour union also ask Lufthansa to ensure jobs for all employed pilots in Germany and to immediately stop the preparations for the flagging out of the workplace, says Markus Wahl, spokesman for the Vereinigung Cockpit, in a press release.
