Lufthansa on 36-hour strike

The conflict between the German pilot labour union, Vereinigung Cockpit (VC), and the employer Lufthansa continues. From 12:00 local time today, December 1, the pilots will initiate their ninth strike this year.

Just as before, the strike refers to the ongoing struggle between the pilot union and the airline company, concerning early retirement and other benefits.

The strike is planned to last for 36 hours and it will only affect domestic flights in Germany. Passengers who are scheduled to fly with Lufthansa December 1 and 2 are advised to check the status of their flight on Lufthansas web site. Both delayed and cancelled flights is to expect.
