Euroteam fined by Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman


The Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman has decided to fine Euroteam 175 000 Euro for their illegal selling of tickets to the London Olympics.

The company also faces demands from British authorities and the total is estimated to be over 10 million Euro.

The Norwegian ECC office closely follow the negotiations regarding the request to place the company into bankruptcy, which has been filed to the Norwegian court. A petition for debt-settlement was filed but later withdrawn and the negotiations regarding an eventual bankruptcy are planned to September 6th, 2012.

Consumers can still file claims against the company
Consumers can still, up until the bankruptcy negotiations have come to a decision, file claims against the company. If the purchase has been made with a credit card, consumer also have the possibility to file the claims towards the creditor.
