Buying tickets from an authorized trader

Updated: 1/9/2015

Before buying tickets to a football game or a concert, it is important to check the company you are buying from, and also to read the terms of agreement thoroughly.

You do not have a cooling off period according to the Swedish law on distance contracts. Once you have paid for the tickets you are bound by the purchase.

Check the trader

Check the trader before buying a ticket. Buy the ticket from an authorized trader. Always make sure that you have the trader’s contact information and that there is a customer service.

Check the website

If buying a ticket online from an unknown trader, it is important to check the trader’s website.

Read the terms of agreement thoroughly

Always read the terms of agreement before buying a ticket. Find out what your rights are should anything go wrong. Also check the delivery terms. If the terms of agreement have been available to you prior to the purchase, you are legally bound to them, whether you have read them or not.

If you are doubtful regarding the trader’s information – do not buy tickets there. Check the authenticity of the ticket with the issuer before buying it. Ask the trader for the ticket’s serial number and then contact the issuer.

When booking your ticket you have to give out some information. Check that this information is correct when you have received your ticket.

Pay by credit card

It is always good to pay by credit card. You then have the possibility to turn to your bank should your ticket not be delivered as agreed.

Normally you may not resell your tickets

Normally your tickets may not be resold. If you try to do so your tickets may be confiscated.

If your tickets are not delivered

  • Contact the trader in writing.
  • If the case is not solved – please contact ECC Sweden via the complaint form on the right side of this page. Do not forget to attach all documentation, (i.e. booking confirmation, receipt and written correspondence between you and the trader).
