Sample packages and subscriptions

Updated: 8/12/2016

“Free trial” and “only 1 EUR” are popular and frequently used catchphrases online. If it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Consumers have experienced problems regarding sample packages and subscriptions.

You respond to an advertisement online for a free or very cheap sample package of, for example, anti wrinkle creams and diet pills. In the process you provide the trader with your credit card details and later it turns out that you are misled into entering an on-going contract with the trader.

If you accept these offers, problems might emerge. It might, among other things, be difficult to get your money back after it has been withdrawn from your account.
