Web statistics / Google Analytics

Updated: 10/15/2014

We use the web statistics tool Google Analytics to produce web statistics from the website. We use the statistics to improve the content on the website.

The purpose of using a web statistics tool is to collect information, in order to be able to improve the content, structure and navigation on the website.

When using the web statistics tool, we do process personal data in an unstructured material. Such a process is allowed, as long as it does not violate the data subject. To determine if the data process is offensive, an overall assessment must be made to decide how sensitive the information is, in which context it occurs, for what purpose it is being processed, how it is being spread, and what the process may lead to.

ECC Sweden refers to the Data Inspection Board's assessment, and considers the process of data used within the web statistics tool Google Analytics a permitted process.
