In general, timesharing is the acquisition of the right to use a particular holiday accommodation at a particular time each year during the term of the contract. Travel to and living expenses in the resort are not included and must be met by the holidaymakers themselves.
The term of the contract can range between three and fifty years, or even be livelong. If you buy a timeshare you are protected by consumer protection legislation.
