Dispute resolution

The European Consumer Centre Net (ECC-Net) is a flexible and evolving structure to help consumers resolve disputes in the internal market fast and efficiently.

In this way it is possible to avoid lengthy and expensive legal action. The ECC-Net deals with any dispute between a consumer and a business over goods and services, such as for example problems over deliveries, defective products, or products or services that do not fit their description. They are dealt with by a single center in each Member State. This center helps a dissatisfied consumer with information and support in making a claim to the out-of-court alternative dispute resolution system in the country where the business is located.

The network covers all EU-Member States, as well as Norway and Iceland.
