Government Agencies in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States participate in the project.
Have you been fooled on the Internet?
At econsumer.gov you have the possibility to file a complaint against companies in other countries so that consumer protection authorities can intervene and prevent certain illegal behaviour that companies may use.
In that way the Swedish Consumer Ombudsman and other government consumer protection authorities also get information on recent trends and problems related to the Internet. By sharing your complaint with government agencies in different countries you will help keep the Internet marketplace safe since it is a borderless one.
Note: You can only report your complaint. Econsumer.gov does not help you to solve your complaint!
When shopping on the Internet in the European Union/EU you can get advice and help from the European Consumer Center Network. If you have bought goods or services from a Swedish webtrader you can contact us, Konsument Europa - the European Consumer Centre in Sweden.
Complaints related to products bought in Sweden from a Swedish company may be settled by the National Board for Consumer Complaints - Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden. Contact us for advice.
